The MJM 43z is a well thought out cruising yacht with many creature comforts that are built on a super strong epoxy hull, designed by Doug Zern, with amazing sea keeping abilities. The MJM is an ideal cruising boat for just a day out with friends or on an extended trip to your favorite destinations. She will easily cruise at 35 mph and top out over 50 mph. She is cozy at anchor and lower speeds due to the upgraded Seakeeper 6 gyro.
The Bow Stateroom has a leftline queen berth for 2 with both hanging locker and multiple drawers. Below deck the Herrishoff look is enhanced with glossy cherry wood. You can comfortably sleep 4 and enjoy the split head to port and a separate shower including a seat and handheld showerhead.
The Galley has a nice counter space with a large sink, a drop in freezer, built-in microwave, a two burner induction cooktop and two-drawer fridge. She has multiple drawers and deep outboard storage for toaster, coffeemaker, groceries, cookware and glassware, as well as a floor hatch “pantry” for additional supplies and groceries to be stowed away. Opposite to starboard is a beautiful teak dinette for four, (or office desk), convertible to a double berth with hydraulic push-button.
Up three steps and you’ll be wowed by the Helm Deck and Cockpit setup. The Stidd helm and companion seats can be swung around to face aft for those days or nights conversing with your guests. With one level the entertainment value is huge. On those beautiful days all three front windshield windows can be opened up with a touch of a button along with the two side windows. Rolling up the aft Strataglass enclosure you will have one large and level space to include the entire aft cockpit with additional seating. All seating is covered in the desirable Ultraleather. This cockpit has a full fixed shade for comfort and sun protection. The faux teak Esthec decking throughout the boat feels great underfoot and adds a warm styling element with zero maintenance.
Side under-seat lazerettes are generous. Present owner easily stows two electric bicycles, liferaft, two golf club sets, scuba gear, and clip-on sun mattress and chairs for foredeck.
The Aft Deck has port and starboard side opening doors, and two rear-facing settees with underseat storage for dock lines, fenders, hoses and life jackets. There is additional huge storage below the hydraulic aft hatch for inflatable dinghy and motor, and two large bins for engine spares.
This boat has been maintained to the hilt with an open checkbook by a very knowledgeable caring owner. She is truly a beautiful boat and ready for you to enjoy for years to come.
Helm Description
The double wide helm and companion seating gives you and your co-pilot 360 degrees of visibility with excellent access to all your controls and electronics. She comes with a large Raymarine touch screen multi function display that can be configured any way you wish. There are also smaller Mercury displays to monitor all your engine’s data. At your fingertips is the Raymarine autopilot, Seakeep 6 display, Lectrotab auto trim, controls for your Mercury engines, Search light, automatic foghorn, nav lights, and of course your Joystick and bow thruster levers.
