The starboard side helm seat is adjustable, and provides good visibility. The upholstery is well executed and made of sound, rugged material. Just behind it is a two-drawer tackle box and a 26 gallon lighted baitwell with a pump and an overboard drain. On the opposite side is a lounge seat with a pair of beverage holders within easy reach. Underneath the cushion is a 68 gallon insulated fish box. The cockpit is self-draining, and it features an aggressive, diamond non-skid surface. There are comfortable bolsters on both sides, and courtesy lighting for nighttime operation. Outboard, under the gunwales, you’ll find built-in rod holders as well as 4 stainless rod-holders flush-mounted on deck. The plumbing systems include a raw water washdown, a cockpit shower, and an 800 gph bilge pump. There is an integral swim platform on the stern, with a transom door on the centerline. Storage compartments on both sides of the door are useful for miscellaneous gear. Moving around back here is pretty easy, whether you’re handling lines, boating a fish, or coming back aboard after a swim. For that a simple, rugged dive ladder is provided, and you can stow it or leave it rotated up when it’s not in use. Back aft, as well as on the bow, they’ve provided a couple of substantial mooring cleats, the 8-inch size, which pop-up for use.
The 2200VX is ready to fish, right off the production line. But if fishing is only part of what you want to do, this boat’s got even more to offer. A useable cuddy cabin, extra fuel capacity, and a large cockpit provide the platform for all kinds of waterborne adventures from diving to picnicking.
