The History of Sabre Yachts and Boston Yacht

Sabre Yachts has been crafting luxury yachts since 1970 when the company’s founder set out to build the finest possible 28-foot sailing yacht using production line methods and fiberglass technology.  Over the next 40 years, sailboat models from 28 to 45 feet were introduced.

In 1989 Sabre debuted the Sabreline 36 “Fast Trawler,” a tri-cabin motor yacht with the spaciousness and comfort of the trawler design but with improved performance.  This launched Sabre’s industry-leading motor yacht range.

In 1995, Boston Yacht Sales proudly joined the growing Sabre dealer network.

Today Sabre produces powerboat models from 38 to 58 feet in length with Salon Express and Fly Bridge variations. All current Sabre models are constructed using our state-of-the-art, VIP resin infusion technology.  Sabre’s boat-building yards are located in Raymond, and Rockland, Maine. In the Raymond facility, 150 associates build motor yacht models from 38 to 58 feet in length.

Our brokers visit the facilities often because there is always something innovative on the horizon. We learn and understand the details of the process more every time we speak with those who design and build Sabre Yachts. Buyers can visit the Sabre boat-building factory to see how it’s all done.

The term Sabre family is meaningful and visionary: it includes everyone who works for or represents Sabre Yachts. Our brokers are passionate about and dedicated to the Sabre traditions.

Through the years Sabre has listened carefully to its owners and dealerships to continually refine each product with a Model Year Improvement program.

This collaborative method of working fits perfectly with the business model Boston Yacht believes in as well and has made for a successful partnership.
