Boston Yacht Sales was recognized last week for 20 years as a Sabre Yacht Dealer, just as their 100th Sabre Yacht 42SE was in the final stages, almost ready to roll off the production line. The team from Boston Yacht sales visited the Sabre facilities in Raymond, Maine where Bentley Collins, VP Marketing and Sales gathered over 150 Sabre Associates – the men and women who craft these fine boats in Maine. He presented Michael Myers, Owner/Broker of Boston Yacht Sales with a plaque recognizing the partnership.

Boston Yacht Sales, A Factor In the Success of the Sabre Motor Yacht Sales & Service Program

Bentley Collins said, ” It seems like yesterday that I visited with Michael Myers at the Boston Yacht Sales office in North Weymouth to welcome them as a Sabre dealer. At that time, our power boats were identified as Sabreline, but as we progressed further and further into the powerboat market we opted to use simply ‘Sabre’ the name by which we are best known. In the 20 years since then Boston Yacht Sales has been a very important factor in the success of our motor yacht program and they have had considerable influence on our new product development program. Boston Yacht Sales’ performance has placed them in the top tier of our dealer network year after year. We are extremely proud of the 20 year relationship between Boston Yacht Sales, Sabre Yachts and Back Cove Yachts.”

Michael Myers thanked equally the great team at Boston Yacht Sales; the craftsmen renowned for their expertise who build the product that makes it all happen; the design team that seamlessly combines the classic with cutting edge technology and the leadership that promotes the creativity and visions of tomorrow. Myers added, “We’re proud to be affiliated with Sabre Yachts and our team is constantly enthusiastic about the brand. Whenever we talk Sabre, we talk about you, and the work that goes on in this facility. The quality of your craftsmanship is constantly recognized and acknowledged. ”

Backcove – One of The Most Popular Motor Yachts In Class

Bentley Collins also remarked,  “In 2003 when Sabre introduced the Back Cove range, Michael Myers of Boston Yacht Sales was also one of the founding group, also known as the Manchester Six: the group of six dealers who helped to launch a brand that today is one of the most popular downeast motor yachts in the marketplace.”

The Boston Yacht Sales team had arrived earlier in the day and toured the two facilities; the facility where the Sabre Yacht 48 and 54’s are built and the facility where the 38SE, 42SE and 42Flybridge Sedan are constructed. The 66 Dirigo is constructed primarily in the Rockland, Maine facility. Touring every stage of the process, the team always learns something new as the Sabre Associates are constantly testing innovative methods to make every model the best it can be.

Michael Myers has been at the helm of Boston Yacht Sales since 1985 when his Dad, Gerry Myers, retired after having started the family business in 1953.  A family business, he was trained for over ten years while working with his Dad in all aspects of the marina and sales business from running the gas dock to the service department to the sales and marketing aspects of the business. Boston Yacht Sales has offices in North Weymouth, Falmouth and Marblehead with additional Authorized Service Affiliates along the coast.
