Desired cruise speed for the new Back Cove 34o is 30 to 35 knots, with a top speed of 40 knots. The 34o will be 10 percent lighter than the 32 it’s based on, with a displacement of around 17,000 pounds. To reduce weight, solid fiberglass topsides became cored versions, and a few other adjustments.
Amazing storage is available where the diesel engines were on the 32. The access hatch is on a hinge, allowing plenty of space for bikes, stand-up paddle boards and an array of water toys or other items.
The layout rendering below is the latest release from Back Cove's Design Team - and if you're noticing some similarities to the Back Cove 32, that's no accident. Our two most recent models are intentionally similar, but you'll find a difference in the aft facing seat that converts to a helm deck U-shaped dinette or a second berth. More striking is the 34O's hull, which is newly designed to optimize the performance of her Yamaha 300's (350 hp Yamaha or Suzuki's optional).
